In-School Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Full-Time | Year-Round School Setting | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

This is a uniquely impactful role where you can put your ABA training into action while working in a supportive, structured school setting designed for students to gain the necessary skills to transition back into a general education setting. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a ground up program that will be focusing on merging the best qualities of in-center ABA services with the atmosphere of a school environment. You’ll serve students with complex needs in a year-round, school setting and receive enhanced training to ensure fully equipped and supported in this role. All services will be performed under an intensive supervision model with BCBAs that will provide opportunities for support and collaboration.

About the Role:

As a School-Based RBT, you'll implement 1:1 behavioral intervention strategies under the supervision of a BCBA in a classroom setting. You'll work directly with students who benefit from high levels of structure and support, helping them learn, grow, and thrive through evidence-based ABA practices. You’ll play a key role in fostering student progress and emotional safety throughout the school day.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized ABA therapy protocols in a classroom setting.
  • Support students with high-magnitude behaviors, including behavior de-escalation strategies.
  • Collect and document behavior and skill acquisition data throughout the day.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and BCBAs.
  • Follow safety protocols and behavior plans with consistency.
  • Maintain a professional, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach.
  • Attend staff trainings and professional development sessions.

What we’re looking for:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current RBTs and aspiring RBTs welcome.
  • Experience or interest in working in school settings or with students with intensive behavior needs.
  • Strong communication and emotional regulation skills.
  • Ability to be active during the day: walking, running, lifting, kneeling, etc.
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM availability.

Pay Rate: $23-$29 per hour, depending on education, experience, and certification status
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
